Problem Adverts Explained

Whilst the usage of the void property reports is relatively straightforward, we should mention the usage of the Problem Adverts report.

It should be used by Partner staff who are responsible for the adverts. It will list out properties with a status of Ready to Advertise or Advertised, which do not contain all of the mandatory data required to generate the advert.

To check to see if any adverts being added are problems click properties, problem adverts.

This will then list all the properties that are showing as problem adverts. To see exactly what the problem is it will tell you in brackets next to the address.

e.g. (No rent), (No street), (No Housing List) this means these fields have either not been entered or are not entered on the correct line e.g. No Street. To change this just go to the advert wizard make the necessary change, click save. If you go back to problem adverts the property should no longer be showing.

If the rent for the property is not known a 0 must be entered in the rent field, this will show as tba (To Be Advised) in the advert.

The problem adverts report is called from the properties search screen, highlighted in red, as below.

This will display all properties with a status of advertised or ready to advertise which cannot generate a freesheet entry because of data omissions, as below.

If you select a property from this list it will take you to the main property screen.

Selecting the Advert button will display the property wizard.

By correcting the data omissions, the advert can be displayed which will then allow it to appear in the freesheet.
