This article will explain how to create new properties and clone existing ones.
TABLE OF CONTENTS
Creating a Property
Properties can be created individually or as multiples. To create a property, follow the steps below:
- On the Properties page, click the green "+" icon
- Use the Address look up feature to capture the address data
- Fill out the required fields and any additional information you want to include
- Click the "Create properties" button
- If multiple properties have been created, select the individual property and edit
- If it is a single property, go straight to the "Advert tab". If you would like more information about creating adverts, click here.
Note: Some of the data in the video has been blurred for confidentiality reasons.
Did you know: Use of mandatory fields will ensure your adverts have all the required information and don't become "problem adverts". The system will not allow you to publish properties until this information has been captured.
Note: On some systems the same user cannot complete both the advertise and publish stages, in some cases the advert would be published by a manager.
Cloning a Property
Rather than creating multiple properties from the start, it's also possible to copy a completed property, this will copy all of the fields created within the property tasks/wizard. For guidance on how to clone properties, follow the steps below:
- Find the existing property you would like to clone and click on the "Advert" tab
- Click the "copy property" icon
- If the Property Code is left blank, the system will create a unique code (this is recommended)
- Click "Create Property"
- Use the search bar on the Properties dashboard to find the cloned property
Did you know: Multiple properties can be grouped together so the applicant bidding just sees one advert. If properties are grouped, one bid will be placed across multiple shortlists
