This article will walk you through the workflow for the waiting list on the HRS System. This is the waiting list that is managed by the Local Authority, that the provider cannot view.

Adding to the Waiting list
To add to the waiting list, follow these steps:
- Search for the client and open up their file
- Providing a case has been opened, click on the Case Support tab
- Click on the ‘add a service to this case’ icon, From the list of the providers you can either:
- Add to a waiting list that only the LA can see / manage
- Assign to the provider for assessment / go on to their waiting list
- Start support
- Press the button to add to waiting list
- Press the back arrow icon on the tool bar to go back to the client page / case
Note: You will need an open case to add someone to the waiting list. Please see the Adding a new Client and Case article to learn how to do this.
Assign a Client on the Waiting list to a Provider
To assign a client to a Provider, follow these steps:
- Search for the client and open up their file
- click on the Case Support tab
- Under this clients waiting lists, find the waiting list that the client is on and click ‘Assign Provider’
- A pop up box will appear, showing the number of voids at the service
- Press assign provider
This can also be done from the services waiting list (see the Managing Waiting and Support lists article)
Unassign a Client from a Providers Waiting List
To unassign a client, follow these steps:
- Search for the client and open up their file
- Click on the Case Support tab
- View the ‘This clients waiting lists’ section and press ‘unassign provider’ to remove them from the providers waiting list. This will revert them back to the LA’s waiting list.
This can also be done from the services waiting list (see the Managing Waiting and Support lists article)
Remove a client from both/either a Providers Waiting List or LA's Waiting List
To remove a client from the waiting list, follow these steps:
- Search for the client and open up their file
- Click on the Case Support tab
- View the ‘This clients waiting lists’ section and press the bin icon to remove them from the waiting list and/or providers list.
This can also be done from the services waiting list
