A change of circumstances form is used when there has been a change in the applicant's circumstances and their application needs updating. Instead of creating a new application, their existing one can be amended as long as their address hasn't changed.

How the Change of Circumstances Form Works
The pre-populated Change of Circumstances form will only work on the Locata Pro Lettings platform. An applicant must have already submitted an application beforehand for it to show previous answers.
The purpose of pre-population is to save time by allowing users to review and update existing information, rather than starting from scratch.
Change of Circumstances Form
To complete and submit a Change of Circumstances form, follow the steps below:
- Firstly log onto the public website as the applicant, or ask the applicant to log into their account if they are the one completing the form.
- Click Your Account in the top right corner.
- Press Unlock Your Account Page.
- A one-time password will be sent to the email address on the applicant's record. Enter the password and click Check OTP.
- Once logged in, click Have your circumstances changed?
- Click Continue and the previous application form will be shown to allow you to check the previous answers before completing a change of circumstances form.
7. Once you've reviewed the previous form and want to progress, click Continue. It will then ask if the applicant's address has changed. If the answer is Yes, the previous form is cleared out and brand new information will be collected for the whole application. If the answer is No, you can continue through the pages and it will keep the existing answers which can be edited along the way.
8. Work your way through the form, eventually you will come to a page that asks Has your household makeup changed? If the answer is Yes, it will clear all previous household details and the up to date information would need to be provided. If the answer is No, you can continue through the remaining pages of the form.
9. At the end, you will be shown a summary, click Continue and then Submit. After a few seconds you will be able to select Click Here and it will download a PDF version of the change of circumstances form.

View the form on Back Office
To view the submitted change of circumstances form after it has been submitted follow these steps:
- Go to People.
- Click All my people with change of circumstance to be validated.
- Click on the applicant.
- Click on the Change of circumstance form under Submitted forms.
- Click the toggle next to Compare to Previous Form.
- Answers that have been removed will show in Red. New answers will be shown in Green. Answers that have stayed the same will remain in Black.
