Creating and closing a Case

This article will walk you through how to create and close a case within the Estates Module. Here we will be creating an Anti-Social Behaviour case but this can also be used for Successions, Tenant reviews, Mutual Exchanges. 


Please Note: The cases you have available to open will depend on the type of cases you have set up in your configuration.

Creating a Case

To add a case, please follow the below steps :

  1. Go to Tenant in left hand menu.
  2. Search tenants name in search box
  3. Click on tenants name to open their file
  4. Click on ‘add a new case’ icon on the task bar
  5. Select the case type you would like to open
  6. Press ‘Create Case’


Please note: To view all cases for the tenant, go to the summary tab and view the ‘Case Summary’ section


Closing a Case

To close a case, please follow the below steps:

  1. Go to 'Tenant' in left hand menu.
  2. Search tenants name in search box
  3. Click on tenants name to open their file
  4. Click on the relevant case
  5. Check that all mandatory components are completed
  6. Complete the 'Close client case' task ensuring that the 'Case status' is set to 'Closed'


You can then see on the summary screen that the status of the case is Closed.
