Where there are report Filters there will be qualifiers to choose from when interrogating data
Most of them are self explanatory so for completeness here the qualifiers in the drop downs are shown here:

Is true - Yes
Is False - No
Does have a value - The field has something in it
Does not have a value - The field has nothing in it
Just Display - Shows all fields
Equals - is the same as the value you enter next
Does not equal - is not the same as the value you enter next
Text Contains - Contains the text in it you enter next
Text Does Not Contains - Does not Contain the text in it you enter next
The best way to train on reports is to try them and keep trying them until you get the information you require.
You can simply cancel the reports you do not need and re-create them as you wish.
